Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'd deffo give your local club a go EB - I'm sure there'll be a suitable group for you to run with.

eb, looking at your race times it looks like you run faster than me so I'm sure you'll be fine with your chosen club. I'm always the slowest at mine which gives me a very love/hate relationship with it. If it works out okay for you I'm sure that you'll quickly increase your speed too. Good luck with it and I hope you get out for a run at the weekend. :)

MM, good work yesterday.

I too got out yesterday with some club buddies. The rain finished at lunchtime and we did nearly 8 miles there and back along the seafront, walked the ups though.

AR my race times are off about ten years ago when I had a resemblance of fitness. I hope to be quick enough to go out with the slowest group at club doing about 12 mmp.
My 5k attempt last weekend came in a few seconds short of 35 mins, my pb was about 27.31 I think so I'm a long way away from where I was. I'll be ecstatic get a sub 30 parkrun again

Well done on your run😀

Happy weekend folks and glad you are getting good runs in.
On the injury bench this week:-( strange sore leg since Tuesday :-( . Going to try a slow parkrun today to see if it's okay, typical I entered a 10k race next Sunday and I wanted to up my longer runs in prep for my half in November so hopefully it won't be sore for too long

Well done on your 8 miler, ar :-)

Hope the leg's ok LG.

I haven't run since Tuesday as I too have a not sore but definitely strange leg! I think I maybe over extended it during my bursts of speed (!!) and now I keep getting a feeling like it's going to give way - it hasn't yet, thankfully, so I'm sure it's fine. I may test it with a gentle plod tomo.

Oh no Kwala and LG look after those legs (((())))

Just done my PT session this morning and he took photos! I must admit there is an improvement though 😊 10 weeks and in 20lb lighter. Couldn't face putting pics on FB but have popped some in the gallery. Please bear in mind if you look at them that I'm a long way from being where I want to be though

Hope everyone has a great weekend I'm hoping to get out for a small plod this morning with CB and a longer plod tomorrow ☺️
