Hi folks, Thanks for signing up! I will share the nuts and bolts of how everything works as we get a bit closer to the day, but the main bit is that we’re all booked up at Huntershill Sports Hub from 2pm-4pm on Saturday June 30th. We may well go to a parkrun in the morning, and I’ve every intention of having a pint with you all afterwards, if you’re up for it. Our focus right now is on making sure that we get lots of people to attend. So as well as making sure you pester your fellow Fetchies, it’s also nice to get some contact with the local clubs and parkruns. To come along, folks need to sign up to Fetch and enter their predicted time – but it’s all pretty easy to do. People just need to go to fetcheveryone.com/bigfetchmile And this is where you can help! If you’re connected with a club, or with a parkrun, it’d be great if you could reply to this email, and let me know who and what you know – and if possible help introduce us, so that we don’t come across as some random spammer  We currently have 40 people signed up, and we managed pretty well with 90 attendees at Bedford in February, so there’s plenty of room to generate some new Fetchies. eL Bee! and I, and probably VP, are coming up from Englandshire. We plan to come up on the day, possibly doing one of our local parkruns beforehand, and will be staying with family on the Saturday night so we'll be around for socialising. I suspect the appeal to non-Fetchies this far south will have been coshed by the fact that there are now regular mile time trials at Sheepmount Stadium in Carlisle. |
