Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I see they had to stop the Moray 100 at 80 miles due to the forest fires north of grantown. I saw a few runners going past whilst walking the dog at Cragganmore. The hot and windy weather not helping. Would be good for it to rain just now as fire still burning two nights later.

Yes, wildfires are really bad this year. We had a club mate who was pretty pd off about it being cancelled ( I don't mean about decision, about the fire).

I read about one runner who was determined to run 100, so after the official finish at Grantown, he turned around and ran back along the course for 20 miles.

Not an official 100 miler, but can understand him wanting to do it.

Thanks for the best wishes , everyone :-) Probably back at Falkirk on the 12th, but volunteering afore the Crieff 10K, for which I am woefully underprepared.

Still F'Laps should sort that out.

Ah ken 😳

I was taken aback the first time I ran it (over 20 years ago!). I was expecting a nice out and back along the Earn. Didnae find out until later that originally it was a run up the hill as part of the Crieff Games.

Nice route. I missed the buffet as I was doing it as part of my first 30 miler and ran back south along the Earn to get the train home from Bridge of Allan back to Edinburgh! :-) G

Glutton for punishment after Collieston yesterday, I'm doing Stonehaven Half on Sunday!
Palacerigg parkrun on Saturday, though it will probably be a slow walk/run with DoricQuine.

Anyone that ever goes across to Lewis on the ferry might be interested in Ullapool Forest Runs, they’re a small friendly group that do races on a Sunday in the Ullapool area.

You can find them on Facebook.

The last two years we’ve managed a race with them & they’re a good bunch of folk.
