Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

A request for advice job-hunting here in Moray. Can anyone recommend a good employer or two? I’m hoping organisations will start to advertise in the new year and I’m seeing a few already on Moray Works FB page (local careers adviser). My recent background is library assistant, but nothing there at the mo’. Going to take my CV round some shops in Elgin and then further afield. I’ve also worked in student recruitment and have done a lot of volunteering on organic farms. Thank you, folks.

Thanks Lesley - I’m getting notifications from both of those. They would be my ideal choices for employers.

The continued cold temperatures could see a third cancellation in a row, name none this year until 18 January

@Bazoaxe Temperatures look to be set to be below zero or very close to it through until Saturday afternoon. Anything that frozen now is likely to stay that way. The forecast looks much better for the weekend after. I think we can expect no cancellations on 18/1.

Here, the forecast thaw keeps moving further and further away and the snow and ice warnings keep getting extended. This time last week it was forecast to be thawing today here (I know because I was watching what the weather would be like today). But now it's decisively Saturday before it warms up. The day before yesterday the forecast for 10 degrees was on Saturday... now it's on Sunday afternoon or even going into Monday. This happened a couple of winters ago it was "warming up in a couple of days" for about three weeks! 😆
