Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Well done again to all finishers - and thanks for the kind words. To be honest, there's been quite a bit of luck involved and a couple of others could also have completed in miles with better fortune. The most unfortunate would have to be EdJ who was trying for the second time and was well on course before he had to self-isolate.

To answer Tikka's direct question - I mean 'keep going' as in 'carry on getting out there on a daily basis' - I'll decide km or miles later in the month as things pan out. This month (in miles) wasn't planned at the start - I just went out and did what I do until about the 15th/16th when I realised it was possible. 18th & 19th falling midweek made them tough to do after work in the dark but once I'd got them done, it was mostly a case of hanging on. 27th-29th were harder, obviously, but as they fell on non-work days I could get them done in daylight then spend the afternoons dozing on the sofa.

To be honest, December always looked an easier option - despite the extra day - as more of the 'big' days fall when I'm not at work. If I feel like doing 8/9 miles on the requisite days next week, I may go for it again - but I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't fancy it or my body objects ;)

Day 1 done; think it took me longer to get changed before and after than it did for the run itself! :-)

Going to be my first attempt this month, my logic involves having some time off work later in the month - we shall see if that is good logic or not!

Here's my first km from my front door, the road I live on is 1km in circumference:

...I could do the whole challenge in circles! :-)

(but I won't)
