From FB:
We are finally, happily, ready to say YES, the 10km and 30km races will go ahead on 18th September. The Welsh Gov have lifted restrictions sufficiently to allow us to run our event although it might look a little different to usual.
We’ll e mailing all entrants in the next couple of weeks with any changes to race arrangements once we’ve worked our way through all the safety measures that still need to be in place for runners and volunteers. So today, celebrate that we’re saying YES!! (Obvs if the Welsh Gov change the rules again between now and 18th Sept we’ll have to follow the guidance at that time…….)

Well, the next Round the Lakes is this Saturday. I'm in for the following one in March 2022.
Would anyone happen to know any locations for camping in a campervan in Rhayader for the Friday and Saturday? The only site in town, the Wyeside Camping & Caravan site, doesn't open until 1 April, so that's no good. It's in a brilliant location right in the town too. Ideally I'm after somewhere within reasonable walking distance!

Ideal weather for today's race, warm but cloud cover meant not too hot. Some great scenery, very well organised and really pleased to finish in 2h28mins, 43rd out of 231 entrants and 2nd M60+.
I assume I was the only Fetchie there although one of the marshals near the end said "ooh a Fetchie, you must be Jigs".
