You are a load of enablers!
there’s nothing actually wrong with my 910, but I now seem to have ordered the 735!

Oh you'll love it compared to the 910 HB - much much lighter, more wearable, and the Bluetooth upload is a definite advantage.

I know that nearly everyone has a Garmin, but I've been looking outside the box - as my cheap Aldi watch is acting a bit oddly (measures distance, but stopped displaying it), I've been looking at this hihonor.com although I don't know if it will spit out a gpx (or similar) file, which is essential. There is also a cheaper version, a dearer one about to launch tomorrow (48 hours gps claimed), and a knock-off at £39.99 (!). Anyone have any experience of these?

(Actually, if Aldi stocked a new version, I'd probably buy that: I've certainly had my £45 worth from it.)

Thanks everyone, especially SJohnA for that link. After a bit of discussion here and over on my OW swimming group I have plumped for a 735XT and been able to make a much quicker decision that I would normally have been able to.

I love the Fenix 6s I bought earlier this year. Beaverbrooks are doing them with interest free credit! That I was tempted to upgrade to a different colour we won’t go into 4 months in 😂😂

Does everything you need and also looks fab.

Bad influencers. 735XT is on sale here - $300 = $170. Is that good? I have a 235 which I'm very happy with but would like to swim more with it

735 is the same technology as the 235 and is a generation old. Rumour has it (the5Krunner site) that a 745 is imminent out there is the already released 645/945 which is the current generation. It will cost more, but do more also. Depends if cost or functionality is your main driver.

My Garmin 735 needs to be replaced (it met with an angry ball lobber some time ago and the screen is now falling off). I've priced up replacing the screen and tbh, I suspect it would be better value to invest in another mid priced watch.

Doesn't *have* to be Garmin, that just what I've always used but I'm open to alternatives Would be nice if I could track my swimming, but not essential. Obviously I'd like it to have some kind of tracker so that I can download the information.

Got something to say?

It looks like my Garmin 910XT has died. Turned it on this morning to get what looked like a factory ...
