Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am going to include children's books if it is a classic that I haven't read, I think :-)

I'm expecting this will take much more than a year. I might manage one decade per year I'm thinking. Books not yet written will be my books for 2017, 2018 etc.

Thanks to Owlie for the challenge! Will we be talking about our books on this thread, or the general thread mentioned on the books thread, the one I haven't checked out yet? Titles and years would be nice to know anyway, and potentially useful for anyone (for instance, me) working backwards. ;-)

That's a brilliant idea. War Horse and The BFG were both published the year I was born and weirdly I've been thinking about digging out a copy of the BFG as I haven't read it since I was little. I've also never read War Horse (or seen the film).

Thanks for such a brilliant idea NO, I think I'll give this a go as my next challenge :-)

I've read quite a few from 1967 already. I'll make a shortlist of ones I haven't read yet that I can get from the library. I'm ruling out anything that is part of a series as there seem to be a lot of these at the top of the list.
