Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There should be a box under "units of measurement" called "WAVA factors"?

Sigh
I've undertaken a comparison of my age grades on Power of 10 vs. the Fetch 2010 standards vs. the new Fetch standards.

Working on the basis that the Po10 ones are 'true' , then it's telling me that the new Fetch standards match for all races EXCEPT parkrun times, and for parkrun times the 2010 standards are the correct ones.

Note: these are the age grades on Po10, not the age grades on the parkrun site (which are very close to Po10).

PO10 has access to the parkrun API so might just use the values it gets with a different rounding. I'll ask.

The WAVA factors include '5k' and '5kRoad' as options. I've used '5kRoad'.

Parkrun should surely be using 5kroad?

Fetch - Is there anyway you could use 5k for track?

Also what are the options for 1500m wouldn't expect that to differ?

I'm assuming 5k is tougher than 5kroad but may be wrong?

Oddly, the track factors are the same for all distances from 1500m to 10,000m, but the road factors are all different from 5km to HM. From HM upwards the road ones are all the same.

5k track is based on a scratch time of 757s (12m37) whereas road is based on 779s (12m59s) so 5k track should be tougher in any event, and then the factors are different too.
