Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pack-up is probably midlands, I use that (grew up in Derbyshire) or snap or bait.

Don't have anything useful to offer as I am also bored rigid by sandwiches but don't have the brain capacity to think of something else every.single.day.

Oh, although I do pre-boil eggs. I leave them in the shells and they are fine for a good few days in the fridge.

Sometimes I so a pseudo-Greek* thing - chop up cherry tomatoes, peppers, add SnP then at work microwave those and serve on a muffin/toast/bagel topped with grated cheese.

Mmmmm not had that for a while.

My Greek work colleague hates me because I am doing it all wrong!

Red Squirrel noted many interesting packed lunches on another 'lunch' thread - let's see if I can find it....

I do similar to Rae - I do a couscous salad: couscous as the base, with added protein (quorn usually), chopped tomatoes, olives, pepper or whatever in the fridge. Take a pot of olive oil/vinegar dressing and bobs your proverbial.

leftover Daal is very nice too, or soup with some bread to dunk in it :-)

I have a food flask - not allowed to eat hot food at desk so only useful if not going out at lunch when I could use the work microwave (assuming it's still there!)

I think I have one of those salad boxes fraggle (used it when teaching)

cous cous works but can be very dull

Have started looking at the other thread and pinned a nice 3 bean thingy!
