Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Anyone frozen sandwiches?
I've got into a habit of popping to Tesco and want to save money too so thought if I froze some I could then pop in bag easily! Then I could toast at work possibly?
I've googled and got some ideas but thought I would ask for real life experience!

Never tried that, Pix. Mainly cos Mr Ness always used to make sandwiches the night before work (when we both worked) and he used to make them for me while I was getting ready to go out when it was just me working. The toasting sounds like a good idea.

Mr Pix makes his the night before but I'm lazy
I don't like spread so they don't hold together too well and I get easily bored so thought a few different ones would be an idea!
worth a try

I got one of the thins crimpet gadgets so it seals them to use in a toaster
I therefore thought if it seals it not only can I toast but it will reduce the chance of fillings falling out

Pix - I’ve done this successfully and found it works ok (another non-spread devotee) some fillings work better than others - experiment, as long as the filling is something freezable I don’t think there should be a problem.

I have some of these amazon.co.uk and to use with work toaster to save from problem of potential spills..

I have those toasty bags! This was why I thought it would potentially work!
Do you just wrap in cling film or foil before freezing?

I tend to wash and re-use freezer bags as sandwich bags, so freeze in those, then just grab what i fancy filling-wise (assuming there’s options available in the freezer 😉) in the morning. Definitely much less faff than making in the morning..
