Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Waves 👏
I’m wavering between 3 and 4lbs over the lowest weight I got to earlier this year. I’m having to be extra careful as my walking is starting to taper down read for my ultra in just over 2 weeks. I should really stay off the sweet things.

You’ve been walking loads Jaks and so quick!
I think this is the first time ever I’ve not gained weight for a marathon!
I think I’m the lightest this year by a tiny amount this morning!
THe next 2 months will be interesting as I’m in unknown territory. Continuing to train post marathon, a 2nd big event in 4 weeks then 4 weeks later my ultra.
But scary.
I’d love to lose weight for my ultra but I’m happy if I don’t gain!

Hi all.

Well I’m still flitting around the same couple of lbs, my heavy social weekend def won’t have helped.

To be honest it’s the weight around my belly that’s going my head in and that only become more apparent since my op! I’m hoping in time it settles but the stress of worrying about it isn’t helping. If I look at family they all carry weight here, as have I and without doing something drastic I am stuck with it.

I’ve tried adding in more abdominal work and I’ve left myself with a lot of discomfort and pain due to the endometriosis scarring (I presume) I know I have a small hernia tear in that area too (also due to excessive abdominal surgeries) so if I have to be tubbier than I’d like (back to vanity) so be it.

But I’ll keep on eating wisely and healthy and exercising. And keep everything crossed it will eventually melt away.

Good luck for this weekends marathon Pix, you’ve smashed training as have you for Lakeland Jaks. Best of luck!

You're doing well Jaks/Pix

It's Wednesday so weigh in day of course I knew after last week's dramatic start it would be hard to come close this week

Managed to lose 2lbs which I'm pleased with as I've not run as much mainly due to work each day been hectic

Also measured waist I measure it every so often 35" which is a lot but an inch had come off since April

Thank you Pix and gg. The overall L50 pace will be slower due to the size of the hills.

My appetite has definitely increased but I’m eating the wrong things. I need to be snacking on protein.

Nearly 1kg off this week again so last week's horror must have been because of the heat. Thank you all for support. Still heavier than 2 weeks ago but not as horrific.

@geordiegirl please stop punishing yourself by doing abdominal workouts. You know you can't 'spot reduce' any part of your body and when it comes to abs that's done in the kitchen.

You're doing fine eating healthily and exercising so you'll get results in time.

@Night-owl well done, 2 pounds is a good loss and you wouldn't want to lose any faster. An inch off the waist is excellent progress.

@LindsD whew, good last week's blip has evened itself out.

Excellent work Owlie.

I know you're right but the kitchen isnt helping my weight loss neither. I honestly do not know what I can reduce any further. Hence thinking I'll eat properly and exercise and beyond that I'm stuck.

By abdominal workouts I am doing whatever comes up in the sessions whereas before I was doing something different but even that seems to be causing the discomfort (there's no other reason I can see)
