Today was supposed to be a rest day for me, but i decided to run three loops around Witton Park with the Missus in the pouring rain!. This was mostly XC with some trails and a touch of concrete just to sharpen up the legs. My calf muscle on my right leg is giving me some jip, and at times it felt difficult to place any pressure on at all. It did improve after the first lap, but the biggest headache is dodging people with their dogs not on leads and the constant dog shit that you are constantly stepping around. Arrived home simply soaked to the bone, not a bad feeling and a hot shower makes it all worthwhile. I will take a rest tomorrow in the event that if i am fit i will race on Sunday.

ok, I decided to enter a 9 mile race as I wanted to do this one last year but was nowhere nearly up to 9 miles at that time, couldn't let it pass me by this year.
