First run since last Monday. Feeling a lot less bunged. 12.1 miles in 1hr 35. Very windy out there though.

Bliddy hard work. That sort of revolting gusting wind that seems to be a head wind regardless of whatever direction you're going. Managed 23 out of the intended 24 miles. Five gels might be a bit too much for my stomach - had to have an emergency detour via the local Sainsbury as I knew I wasn't going to be able to get back to the gym!!

Afternoon peeps... I'm a newbie to this running malarky... First run in proper wind today, OMG was it harder, I nearly gave up but I didn't! Think I would have prefered it to rain (not run in rain yet!)

fifi, well done for keeping going at it. Must say there's only one thing I hate more than running in the wind and that's the one you haven't experienced yet. You get used to it altho', personally, I'll never be a windy/rainy runner.

Thing is with me if I start not going because its raining or windy, I'll give up! This is the UK we have rubbish weather most of the time so I might aswell get used to it or I'll never make it out the house!

V. true fifi. Some days holding fire for an hour or two can make all the difference but, certainly in my neck of the woods, it was even windier by the end of my run than at the beginning.
