Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lovely 5.6m slow run in the snow this morning. It was SO MUCH FUN :-)

Gobi - the 400s were meant to be '5K' pace. I've never done 400s before, so based on my recent 3:00s at 800s thought that I'd be around low 1:20s. Turns out I couldn't keep up with the 4 fast guys who stuck together doing 1:12-1:18s, and the next group back were doing something like 1:30s. So there was little old me like a lemon on my own. It wasn't completely flat out, I don't think, and now I know the session think that I should be able to be close to 1:20 next time.

If that makes ANY sense

I am running in south africa where we are having a heat wave. I had to get up at 5am so that i could run before the sun was up. A homeless man sleeping on the corner yelled at me, "Can't you see i'm trying to sleep!?" Glad i got the run out of the way though. If i ran tonight i would expire in the heat!

Gobi - I didn't know until I got there that 5K pace was the order of the day. I just calculated it, and 1:28 per 400m is my best 5K pace. So 1:25 is good, especially as I feel I can go quicker.
