Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Plantar Fasciitis made for painful weekend so nervous about my run this morning. as it turned out, bit of stretching and change of trainers and a gentle 3m was absolutely fine. Back on track for St Neots - woo hoo!

I enjoyed last night's 18k very much. Not so sure about Run Cub tonight. Tres might be in vengeful mood following a week off. I hope to propitiate her by being extra nice about her huge PB in Amsterdam. Probably won't work.

Worst run ever! Stretching out to 16 miles in training for my first marathon and had to stop just after 8 as exhausted. Tried to push on, but could only manage short bursts for maybe a total of 2 more miles. First time i've ever not completed a long run, and have several reasons for it:-

1)spent the last 2 days walking round london with the missus. About 6 hours each day on my feet
2)really tough terrain - the 2 freshly ploughed farmers fields were real energy sappers, not to mention the muddy hills.
3)Bloody Endomondo App crashed on my phone after 6 miles and put me on a downer - remedied as have now bought a Garmin 305 from Amazon
4)Got lost as signposts had been ripped down by farmers - cheers!

At least i know the reasons why now, and will endevour to not make a repeat performance!!!

Great, although I did have to give way to a freight train at one point. I didn't fancy trying to run across the tracks infront of it :-)
