Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Slightly poor effort today. This was supposed to be my long run for the week. I'd planned 16k but cut it short. It was just too hot. My head was becoming as light as legs were heavy. I think that's what heatstroke feels like when it starts. Discretion definitely overcame valour today. If it's this hot next Sunday I'm running after dark...

Hot. It would have been ok as a training run - unfortunately it was a race.

Not great, hot, got lost up a big hill, walked a lot. Nevermind - always next week (for a long hill run I mean, i'll be running before then :) )

5m hills this morning-chilly and hard work but felt good after. I have anasty suspicion that the hill I amtraining on is less steep than the hills in the race I amtraining for. Does this matter?

Really good fun exploring a local orienteering course. The joy of orienteering is that you get lots of rests for navigation!
