Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Had an absolute shocking 20 mile training run this afternoon round Draycote Water. The first two laps were fine and dandy. At the start of the second lap I started to get stomach cramps and felt most odd. Me being me though I kept going, gradually getting slower, having to stop about once every half mile because of the cramps. Then the rain started, horizontal rain, the stuff of Draycote legend. It was on the final lap, two miles from my car, when I reached the low point of the run, possibly of my whole life, when I was doubled up in pain, wretching into a skanky portaloo, with the rain lashing onto the side of it. The rest of the run was miserable, and made me wonder why the hell I do this running lark. The 200yard 'Penguin' style sprint to the bogs at the end saved me from a nasty public exploding bowel experience. You probably heard the groan of joy from your house once I made it to the sanctity of a proper gents facility. I'm now sat in bed, shivering, with a slightly better tummy, feeling bloody sorry for myself.

Running. It's a funny old game eh? :-)

Watford Wobble
A rather tedious 17 miler through Crick and Ashby St. Ledgers and Watford. First loop was good but second was a bit grim. Hey ho. Bird of the day the buzzards yet again.
