Frozen snow on the roads under Stanage Edge gave quite a decent surface to run on. Even with the sun nothing was melting. It was a bit like bamby on ice in places but it was just great to be out. 6.6 miles only 593.4 to go in 2010.

Chilly, but pavements completely secure underfoot. Same distance as FR but 80s/mile slower. Was nice

Ran round Box Hill, never been there before and noticed a race was on, few guys doing it in speedos, bloody freezing too, awesome running there though.

It's a cracking race, Harold There's a half-marathon version in the summer too.

Cold, but not as cold as it has been - light snow showers - very comfortable six miles over compact snow in road shoes (which coped very well largely due to the lack of ice)

A lovely 6.6 miles 'tempo' run to kick start my VLM training in very light snow. Pavements were white in places, but I had no grip issues. Was listening to War of the Worlds. Just fancied it. Turned out to be a really good choice

An hour through the fields, trails, dunes and beach near Crosby & Waterloo - some of Gormley's 'Iron Men' had been decked out in Santa suits and, inexplicably, reflective safety jackets.
