Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

10k run to work this morning in the pishing down rain. Having to dry my gear on the radiator in the office which is rendering the place none too fragrant. Let's hope the rain stays off or I'm running home in it too. I'm not confident that it will though, the sky's pretty black looking. :-(

8.5 miles at 8.30 min miles. Don't feel too bad after Abingdon. Clicky right knee though, thought I'd have to give up before the first mile, but it seems more comfortable now.

Mr. UniquaThePinkKnight is pretty knackered after Abingdon though, bless his little cotton (running) socks. He gave up after 2.5 miles......

Race pace time trial (2 miles easy, 2 @ race pace and 2 @ however I feel)

Mile 1: 8:29/mi - Steady away
Mile 2: 7:26/mi - Starting to wake up
Mile 3: 6:40/mi - Blowing out my ar$e
Mile 4: 6:40/mi - Blowing out my ar$e
Mile 5: 7:52/mi - Taking it easy, feeling it a little
Mile 6: 7:56/mi - Starting to really feel it now, had to focus on my form.

All-in-all a good run, the two race pace miles were me at my current max...(I couldn't go much further at that pace)...I really focused on lifting my feet rather than pushing off from my toes. :-)

Some nice training in

Thursday 23 October

Got in a nice and relaxing 2 hours 45 mins of speed walking and jogging , really refreshing in a light breeze

Friday 24 October
Got in 2 hours 20 mins of speed walking and jogging , again today was a light refreshing breeze, and my thigh muscles are feeling better

I’ll do nothing tomorrow Saturday - except bit of shopping with my wife-

Then Sunday - a big day for us, Worksop HM - our 173 rd HM overall , and in total our 300 th RACE

Who would have ever though it, certainly not me

Happy running feeling good, - people have said including RW that I’ve used the force of running and physical and mental fitness as a force to change our life - WOW, you can say that again !!

Hard work!
First run in about 6 months mainly due to lazyness! Can't believe how unfit I've become in the past year:(

Bit rubbish. Really windy which made it tough so I bailed early and will try and do a long one tomorrow if the weather's better.
