Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Cheers. Found the route a bit taxing at times but was very determined. Too many people at work had found out about it ;o)

My smilies are very dull and dated.

Well I had a nice 21 miler today; the last LSR before my marathon on 10/09/2006. Enjoyed it and felt really strong all the way, so I'm looking forward to my first mara now :-)

In September it will be a year since I started. I decided to run this one in June after having a couple of weeks of non-running after a half. I trained for 12 weeks. I kind of made an impulse decision to do it.

I found that it was very hard when I started running to fit in or think about anything else.

Relationship-wise, my wife is very supportive (it was her that encouraged me to start even though she doesn't now) but she does get a bit annoyed with the FE thing. I can see her point. It did get to the point where I was either planning a run, going for a run, or recovering from one, or on Fetch. Only in the last couple of months did I wake up and think "Hang on, I used to play guitar a lot and learn French!" Slowly I'm working them back. Starting with the guitar.

You don't want to even hear about my job. It is ridiculousy slack.

well done Keefy, what a fantastic time , hope your recovering with a nice cold drink :-)

Riga, i still have a life, its all about balance as Dj dave says, i'm lucky in that i can run to/from work and my hubby comes along on his bike for some of my long runs, if not i just get up while everyone is still sleeping in at weekend and i'm half way thru it before they even know i'm gone!
