My HM PB is 2.19, set in 2009. I've not run much recently and have Glasgow Half in October so would love to get near or under 2.19 for that. Other favourite autumn races will be Cabbage Patch 10 in October, Barns Green half at the end of September (a little undulating) and Beachy Head mara at the end of October (a lot undulating). Also considering St Neots half to round the year off.

Hi GM I'm sure you can get a sub 2:25 with running all the way especially after your hilly 10k. I'm the similar my PB is 2:27:17 and I walked some of it. I'm hoping to run all of my half in 6 weeks and would be great for a sub 2:25.

Hello. My half PB is 2.24. From years ago before I had the kids. This year am aiming for sub 60 10k. Not doing a half because I can't guarantee to put in the consistent training. Amd I am not prepared to self inflict the world of pain that is a half off the back of rubbish training. But the longer term plan is for a half next year off the back of some consistent training this year and hopefully to beat the 2.24.
I think I will watch with interest for a while. Can you save me a comfy seat for next year?

Ironically, the half that I ran all the way (Brass Monkey, flat as a pancake, though a bit windy) was over a minute slower than my half PB set on an undulating course which I walked some of. I think I was spurred into action more because I was last so had all the marshals with air horns accompanying me for the last mile!

I think I qualify here. I run/walked a 2:37 at Robin Hood half a few years ago when it was still a pretty hilly course (for a girl from the fens anyway) and I have a couple of autiumn halfs booked at would like to get 2:15-2:20. I was going to do RH again but a group of people I know have signed up for Ipswich on 22nd so Im going to do that instead for the added social aspect. Im also going to do GER at Peterborough.
Im really glad to see this thread.

I'm planning on doing Tonbridge in September. Technically my very first HM (4 years ago now) was under 2:25 (2:24:56) - I ran a second one a few weeks later and then not done anything over 6 miles until earlier this year when I started to train for a marathon. I'm guessing Tonbridge is hilly though haven't looked at the profile yet. It will be in my lead-up to Beachy Head marathon.
