It seems that an old Fetchie, who no longer logs any training on the site, is still in the Fetchpoint game - so every time I run I get to infect their bugs, I benefit from twice the amount of gems etc, and in return I get no risk of them taking them before me or returning the infection. The leaderboard properly shows the local density to me as "0". When I rejoined the game in November I was the only one around, so I can only assume that at some point they've logged onto the site for the first time in a while and that's rejuvenated their participation.

I see it as an artefact of the game, like dragging a bug out of the circle even if you go through it after returning to the circle.

I have often wondered why her density is 1 and mine is 0. Obviously her account recognises my active account but mine doesn't recognise her (mostly) inactive account.
