Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My husband goes in for surgery on the 5th so I don’t think we can realistically make it and with the Covid numbers I’m thinking I’m not too upset. Having been at the NEC a few times it is very spacious so it’s not like being in a normal shopping centre but not seen anything on their plans for keeping numbers appropriate. Maybe they’re waiting for an update from BoJo

I can't now unfortunately either as we have had a weekend away rescheduled to that weekend (which we should have had in Oct but had to cancel when we got the plague).

I have to say, as far as Covid measures go, NEC are on the ball. When I was there in September they were checking vaccination “passports”, (the one on the NHS app), or negative test results before you could get through the main doors.

I drove up to L’pool today and saw the “NEC this way exit” from the M’way, it didn’t take as long to get to there as I thought it would -

but I wouldn’t go if it weren’t to be a Fetch gathering and the Covid situation doesn’t make it look sensible either.

Doubt if I will go now. Started marathon training and don't really want to lose a weekend. Will possibly go to the one in Farnborough in the summer.

Free tickets using the code FLANCI21 (I'm sure other codes are available).

Interest in a Fetch meet-up, possibly with a parkrun beforehand, has sprung up on the Unicorns thread but this matter transcends eye-searing legwear and deserves its own thread. Who's in, or interested?
