Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It wasn't 24 miles. So it must've been Sedbergh Hills and that was a beast of a day - I can't imagine how hard Howgills at 24 miles must have been.

Pretty sure the 3 of us went to recce it, was because it was a champs race.

Yes, that's right. There's a possibility I'll take over as RO from next year onwards.

It’s a race I’ve tentatively looked at a couple of times. No chance of doing it this year again though.

Cool it looks interesting, would have to make it a trip as its a way from here but we've gone to settle before on the train so doable.

I enjoyed Richard Askwith's piece on Joss Naylor in Runners World. Worth a read, I'd say.

Definitely. He captured the spirit of the moment beautifully and paid a superb tribute to Joss.

You got that without any online look up? :-) Well done.

I asked because I rode past it yesterday and on my way to Dent and completely failed to identify it, despite having ran over it several times. I think it's one of those that has a distinct profile but not one you see when approaching it on foot, at least that's my theory.

Would anyone else who has ran over it (Fellsman etc) have got it from this picture? Maybe it's just me :-)

It was my favourite of the dales 30 when I did them all last year. Still wouldn't have recognized it though.
