To be fair, the insurers of Morrisons have been great so far. They called me yesterday afternoon, explaining the process, and they already knew about the case, so presumably Morrisons had raised it already. I can take it to a garage of my choosing, and all being well it’ll be done in a fairly timely fashion. I’m taking it to my garage this morning, they’ll hopefully provide a quote via email today or tomorrow, which I’ll forward to the insurers along with pics. The insurers have said as it needs to be done fairly quickly, follow the email up with a phone call, which will help ensure it gets dealt with fairly promptly, and then if all that is okay I can book the work in to be done. Garage doesn’t seem keen for the insurers to pay for the work, but I can pay it, and insurers will pay me back.
I got a replacement mirror for it yesterday which fits securely to what is left of the wing mirror. So I think I’m okay for the weekend at least. I mentioned this temporary fix to the insurers and they’ll pay for that as well, and I’ll be able to keep it as a spare, should it happen again.
I guess this type of thing happens all the time with delivery drivers, and I suppose the insurers are geared up to handle this type of stuff. Early days, but apart from the hassle, their comms with me has been good so far.

It happens all the time with delivery drivers, that’s why you hardly recognise any that come to your door. A few strikes & your out.

Making a dash to see a friend this weekend and there's no suitable motorhome parking, so not this weekend, but planning the Dorset coast the following weekend.
