Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

HowFar?
You’re not alone, Heinzster. Bundoran and Rossnowlagh will be full of folks from East of the Bann for the next couple of months.😀 Luckily, we have plenty of space.

Not a definite, but pretty sure I spotted a hobby yesterday from my car yesterday as I was going through the Brecklands. At first sight I thought it was a kestrel, definite falcon shape, but it seemed to be moving differently somehow and was obviously grey rather than russet. Shame I couldn't get a better view. Other drivers would not have favoured my slamming my brakes on on the busy A11 though.

I had a similar sighting a few summers ago from the car in the Midlands. Obviously a raptor but not kestrel. Looked more like a large dark swift

Fab spots HF? 😀

Love seeing a Hobby 😀😀

Just heard a Rook in the garden area - back door open - not seen though. I know we have a nesting pair over on the school playing fields not too far away, but that’s the first time I’ve heard them near the house 😀

Another nice kingfisher sighting yesterday, when I stopped by the river during a run. One flew by doing its characteristic whistle. Any day is automatically at least 2.3% better as a result of seeing a kingfisher.
