Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sat in a bar for apres earlier and watched the feeders outside where we saw: a siskin, chaffinch, bullfinch, great tit, blackbirds, robins and a crested tit.

A pair of shellduck have bred on a dew pond not far from Skipton the last two or three years. They were back on site this morning when we drove past

Grey wagtail couple tonight. Lots of mallard drakes on the duck pond but very few ducks. I wonder are they incubating?

The number of robins about at the moment! I don't think I've ever heard or seen so many.

Green woodys this morning. Lots of great tits this evening.

Question: there is a group of three tits that visit mum's garden regularly. Size and apparent colour of blue tits - but their tails are nearly LTT length. Crossbreed? natural variation? we're missing something and they're a tit we don't recognise?

My evening walk was soundtracked by wrens. Seemingly dozens of them. Small songbird numbers being up might well be a result of the mild winter

No idea re the blue tits. Never heard of titmice hybridising. Could you get a pic?
