Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How do the contacts look? All the same colour, or one or two of them pitted and corroded? Will it sync if you plug it into a computer?

Worth getting some of the little plugs to seal the contacts off from sweat and muck. I got a bag of them with my two charging stands. The whole shebang was less than a tenner!

Ditto. Worth making sure that the socket dries out regularly, too.

All fenix lovers. I have a fenix 3 but used a HRM strap. When I wear the strap I do end off with a rash despite washing it pretty much every couple of wears more if it’s a sweaty workout. Randomly it sometimes doesn’t connect.

I won’t lie I like a gadget and I know the 3 is resaleable but I’m tempted to buy the 6S pro as I’ve seen some good offers around

It’s smaller and as a girl with small wrists that can only be a plus.

It has more functionality the accelerometer was something I thought may be useful?

The fall detect also, I run solo often in woods and local fells (nothing extreme) but a fellow running club member last year fell and her Apple Watch alerted her husband and emergency services I think this would give some peace of mind.

We’re also off to Oz soon and it has the ability to give climb data which while not overly useful would be quite cool.

So does anyone have a 6, particularly who had upgraded from an older model. Any thoughts?

Your heart rate strap is causing a problem, so you buy a new watch??

Surely you'd be better buying a HRM?

Well there’s more gadgets on the 6 😂 and the hrm is fairly new anyway.

So really it's nothing to do with the strap really, you just fancy a new gadget. I can understand that :-)

I do indeed but the chafing from the hrm means I miss having wrist based (even if it’s not as accurate) and well it’s smaller, it’s got the safety bit in too. Heck I’m sold!

I saved £75 last year when I started putting money away for each run shame I forgot after a few months.

My 5S froze today when I pressed the ‘start’ button to begin my run. This is A Worry.

It occasionally freezes in ‘watch’ mode but this is the first time it’s happened in ‘sports watch’ mode.

Like I say, it’s A Worry.

Or an excuse to buy a 6 Pro.

Or both. Probably both.
