My newt was going out into the garden and coming back in immediately. It is seriously cold, so I decided not to torture myself! I am now inside having my first turmeric latte of the week! We used to pop into the tap for a regular pint on a Saturday after shopping and have also done one of their brew experience days so they know us reasonably well. They got in touch yesterday to say they'd just bottled a new stout, our beer of choice, would we like to try it. It's a robust 6.5% chocolate stout, it's very very good and going down a bit too well!

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
