Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Have brought a new quilt today and just about to change my bed - when did quilts become so light weight? I like to feel the weight of mine at night !

This affie - I did invented by me sprint hill accelerations. Measurements in metres, obvs.

3 x (55-45-35-35-45-55) with walk back recovs. 3 - 4 walk mins between sets.

They are Flat Bottom Valley Hills - two very short fast accels in the middle of each set. Done and dusted in 25 mins from front door to hill and back in front door. Warm ups? I don't need a warm up for sprint hills. (Raffo does)

Purple sprouting broccoli from our garden tonight. Genuine newt - had PSB before but not grown by us.

Raffo's already sampled a third of the crop but I've been demolishing the home grown cabbages to clear a raised bed for new crops

The best I can muster today is bothering to record a walk to the Co-Op on my Garmin (for WSW). Rest day. Busy at work. Not much else to report!

I had my first appointment with a hygienist since 2018 today, my newt is paying for the PPE worn by the hygienist, a mere snip at £10 on top of the charge for her services.

Another newt for me. I found the episodes of ‘Elizabeth R’ on iPlayer as recommended in Autumnleaves blog and watched the first episode. It is 50 years old but I hadn’t watched it before and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing the other episodes. Thanks, Autumnleaves. :)

Thank you Pin Lady :-)

I've had a bit of an odd day, no newts from me, but plenty of good spring-y ones here. There's an older one I really like, but also a couple from today. I'll have to ponder

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
