Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I tried a 'craft beer' tonight that I had never had before. I'm not entirely sure if I have even had craft beer before but I suspect I have without being particularly aware. However I went out and chose this one from the 'craft beer' section of the supermarket today. It was all right, but nothing special and a bit too strong for me.

Oh and another newt. Came home from walking the dog to find that the kettle wasn't working. Tried everything (ie I turned it off at the wall and back on again) to no avail so an emergency drive into town to get a new one just before Argos shut. So we now have a lovely new kettle and I will be able to have my usual number of cups of tea in the morning. I suspect it is working from home that has caused the previous one to fail through over use!

I got a bunch of wild garlic in my veg box delivery this morning. That's a lifetime newt as while I have seen wild garlic in the woods I have never picked it. I'm going to claim the eating of it as a newt too when I do.

I did look for it when walking the dog in the woods yesterday but couldn't find any - although may start looking more often if I like whatever I use it for.

I've seen a few more colleagues in person today that I've not seen for a whole year. That's quite newty and lovely.

Apart from that I'm having a fairly rubbish day, though. Shall look for lovelier newts this evening when I get home, perhaps.

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
