Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

various small newts for me yesterday:
Started my new book may well finish it today.

Altered my route back from the shop - not thrilling, not really worth the effort.

Did a new short exercise routine - a five minute 'arms blast' after an also new 25 min Hiit circuit. This completed my 30 day fitness challenge..

So today the newt may well be clearing my room - and the glass desk therein - so i can get in there and write out my new plan for the next 3 or 4 weeks. Have tobe ready to start tomorrow - today is more or less rest day - just an hour and a half with the dog earlier.

GG, I am with you!
I went to Hay a couple of weeks or so ago. I had to pick up my pump, my framing, so decided to take advantage of the food market and a visit to the Deli. I was buzzing for days! I bumped into a friend too, we had takeaway coffee and a pastry in a wall in the sunshine. Life had momentarily returned to normal and: seeing people!

I have logged training... Last time I did that was 2011, and it was cycling... i have remembered why I stopped logging my cycling training here... A certain rather vocal member accused me of lying over my mileage 🙄

Was assuming some sort of typo up there on the newt award....

My major excitement this morning was a walk to the supermarket which is my 2nd such visit of the year but very much first of spring (mostly living on Tesco delivery here).

Last night we had fish and chips for the first time in the pandemic which has been a remarkable and inexcusable omission. Very good it was too. Just somehow got out of the habit last year.

Had devilled mushrooms for the first time. I think. They were yummy.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
