Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Anthocyanins, according to the label. I hope that's an E number rather than a squashed insect.

Red velvet used to be red because of a reaction with the cocoa powder, apparently, but the way cocoa powder is processed has changed so now you have to add food colouring to make it go red.

Did my C25k run walk in the woods for the first time this year. We also snaffled some bits of wood for the garden for the bugs to live in/under.

I nearly had a newt of booking my covid jab. But the surgery offering it - where Mr GM went last week - has said that our GP practice doesn't come under the same authority so I can't go there 😞

Used a birthday present for the first time tonight. A cake slice with a penguin on it. It's my son's birthday so I'd made him Bakewell Tart for pudding as requested.

That’s a shame, GM. I think it’ll be another four weeks or so before I get mine. Mr Ness keeps teasing me about the fact he might get both his vaccination doses and be able to go away on hols without me! 😜😂

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
