Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have newted by walking a stretch of the Oxford canal that I’ve never seen before and it was fabulous :)

First time sitting by the pond this year! With a cup of herbal, taking a break cutting the grass.

No frog spawn! It was created last year and I have seen both frogs and newts in it but in such a small pond, they tend to not co-habit so I will wait and see.

Instead of sending eL Bee! up to Whinlatter without me, I tagged along and did my first trail run of the year. Not newt ground for me, I've run those trails several times before, but a newt PB for the 10k route despite stopping for a chat with an old pal on the way round.

Fab newt :)
I'd struggle to run that route without stopping to gawp at the view all the time (= rest after the uphills)

Second bike ride if the year, but it was longer than last time and I went along a lane I’ve wanted to cycle for months but it was blocked by gas works last year. Now can sit and watch athletics :)

My newt is to have both heart and blackheart against my annual running target of 700 miles - for the first time this year :)

Well done Hann! And GM :-)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
