Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bit of a newt I had a cake some time last year after a run with some friends with hundreds and thousands in so I added some to my latest batch!

Hanneke it's yeast I can't have, although I am wondering if flour is an issue too

Well done Woo 👏

Oh, and does that include the natural yeast of a sourdough bread? It isn't very yeasty, but of course the fermenation process of the starter does generate/is activated by yeast from the environment.

I think so - the list I cant have is so long, basically anything that ferments, grapes, melon, mushrooms, marmite (I love marmite), sugar, wine, beer, cider blah blah blah.

I am a nightmare when we eat out or go to other people's houses - I tend to just have antihistamines and deal with it

That sounds really frustrating Mandy.
Nothing dramatic for me today - last day of morning walking so I took a different route.

I would be so sad, Mandy!
I found out yesterday that a friend from rugby is so allergic to alcohol now that even a bit of unsuspected wine in a casserole made her sick for days 😭

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
