Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Slightly unexpected/unplanned newt. I quite often have 6Music on in the background whilst I work - if not in meetings or really needing to focus. Today for the first time I was so completely taken with a piece of music that I stopped what I was doing, closed my eyes and just listened. It was a piano piece called Peace Piece by Bill Evans which is not my usual type of music either.

My newt is to knit a whole 2 rows of this flippin' lacey shawl without losing or gaining any stitches - the addition of stitch markers at the start of each pattern repeat has been inspired and kept me on track 👍

Did a Lee Valley session complete with ladder drills and accels in the mini park on the seafront we call the Strangling Park for obvious reasons.

Note lack of bright kit. Also jumper is just an old cashmere one, am not fussy as long as I'm warm.

Great photo, Sharkie. Excellent training session too by the sound of it. No newts for me so far. Lovely morning run and walk to Aldi but they are new things. If I do anything new will pop back later.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
