Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Top idea. I know I'm going to fail to stick with it, but I will start. Er. A day late.

I’ve tried it before and aimed for the overall total rather than the correct number per day. I’m not sure we have 501 items to get rid of, but maybe when I open the drawers I will find we do. Like others I’m busy now, but over Christmas should be able to make up for any shortfall.
I have sorted out one hoodie so far, 500 to go :)

2 way out of date items from food cupboard chucked.

3 bags/boxes prepared to take to charity depot tomorrow (total of 105 items - I needed to clear the spare bed and there has been a pile there for a while).

A load of decorations were given to the drama people my children go to for an upcoming play. I'm counting it as 31 as there were a lot that went, but I didn't count and I know there was a stack of 8 things tied together.

Day 2 for me - I gave a book to a friend and told her to either keep or donate it when she's finished it, and put a box of old candles in the bin. So far so good!

Day 3 - I'd been hoarding a nice box that I received a hamper in (in January) because I thought it would be nice to use to send Christmas gifts to my colleagues in Germany (it's covered in London things like Beefeaters and red buses). I took that to work today so that we could start filling it. Plus I threw out two left foot anatomical socks. I put my toes through the right foot ones. God only knows why I was keeping the lefts!

2 broken necklace chains in the bin today

Am I the only person who keeps broken stuff as a reminder? *so, this is what it was like....*

2 uniform tops and coat returned to base as I don't use them
