Day 8 - 1 unopened 2019 wall calendar, 2 brochures for the European Masters Champs that I didn't do in 2019, 1 old Athletics Weekly that I held on to for no known reason, ditto one old copy of the local magazine, three out of date sports nutrition products. I also binned yet another pair of socks having put my toe through the anatomical right foot one again. But that doesn't count. I didn't hoard them like the others! |

I have lots of left socks. Which is odd because I don't bin just one sock; I have to get rid of the pair. The washing machine must have developed a taste for right socks.

I have also had numerous right socks disappear. I currently have two pairs of two left socks and a third non-pair of two slightly different left socks.

I have a collection of odd socks. Their partners have to be somewhere. They identify as being either left or right

I'm donating a box of used stamps to a local charity. Is this 1 item (a box) or a multitude (the stamps). I'm tempted to count it as 1 as decluttering should create space. I need to count up what's gone overall. I'm nowhere near target but am making small and consistent differences. |

Time to start filling a charity bag or two... 9 items in the bag. I won't be able to take it anywhere to donate until after Christmas, but it should be nice and full by then! |

I've been doing a bit of decluttering and sorting out this month so, if I remember correctly: 1 mini Christmas tree gifted to someone at school who hadn't got one 2 pairs of worn out shoes binned 3 started filling a clothing recycling bag 4 sorted the tea and coffee cupboard - some packs of stuff so out of date they were solid lumps 5 empty boxes from old Garmins/iphones etc no longer needed 6 education related books gifted to school 7 Christmas baubles and beads gifted to school 8 mugs - I sorted out the mug cupboard yesterday 9 old things from the kitchen utensil drawer including cork screws and bottle stoppers I've got a couple more kitchen cupboards to sort out and then it's time to hit the bedroom cupboards! |
