Having pavers seems a little bit OTT. Plugging through bigs is part of the fun. With this and JK’s adventures there’ll be plenty to watch. ![]() |

He's underway. He's gone for a standard 11am start from Capel to put him on the Snowdon leg in the dark with dawn as he climbs up onto the Elidir Fach/Fawr before he hits the Glyders. It will be interesting to see if he can restrain himself to 23.20 pace and not get carried away like last time.

Lol, so sticking to 23 hour pace didn't even last until the first summit! 47 mins to get up Moel Siabod and 24 mins gained! Next two were a little more sedate but by the third summit and 72 mins of running he is already 33 mins up. Maybe someone needs to remind him of what he wrote in his blog a few days ago! "Step 3: slow down, there’s a really long ways to go. I charged out of the gate on the Paddy Buckley last year on pace for something like a 19 hour round. I’m gonna aim for around 23 this year. Even 23:59 would do just fine." |

I was just about to say the same! he's certainly not hanging around. think I saw that there might be thunderstorms at some point overnight, I hope that doesn't make it too interesting |

That was very interesting reading (blog, that is). Should be interesting to see how he fares...and how the weather behaves.

JK now an 90 mins up after 7 hours of running. So operating inside 20 hour pace. The heaviest rain seems to be forecast for between 1am and 3am tomorrow so at the current pace he will put himself right on the Glyders at that point, rather than climbing out of Llanberis and generally lower down. So going quicker than planned doesn't seem to be being driven by the weather forecast!

The really rough and high ground over the Glyderau isn’t where I’d want to be at 2 o’clock of a Monday morning ![]() |
