I'm doing 3 sets of 10 a day; 4 days then a day off (more or less)

I seem to have adapted to the "real" pressups fairly quickly, which is gratifying. Whereas it was an effort to do 10 I now find sets of 25 as a 12 then 13 in quick succession are doable. Shoulders are still clickety-click and clunk ... I'll resist the temptation to go mad and stick to my target for now.

Still on 20 pd & 4*5 to maintain correct form. Just completed all four sets together with 30 seconds rest in between for the first time. Definite progress for me.
Next week may try 3*7 and as long as proper form is maintained I’ll be very happy with that. I feel that I could do a lot more per day but want to stay injury-free so this is a period to let my body adapt. Well done to all 5001ers!

I'll be interested to see what people think on that as Liebling's also a work-surfacer

I’ve increased
But that’s what made me wonder if I should go lower!

I think if the eventual aim is for strict press ups, once you can do a decent number at the current angle, 3 x 8 or 10 say, then lower the angle and reduce the reps, working the reps back up to the former level, rinse and repeat until you can manage knee press ups.

I’d also say try going lower. I’m progressing on to stairs this week
