Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Steve and Muttley: Testosterone levels decline with age, and testosterone is important in building or maintaining muscle. Strength training is also important though. If you start strength training later in life you can see gains in muscle mass and strength, but they won't be as pronounced as they would have been if we'd started younger, when we had more testosterone to add to the mix.

Definitely still worth doing some strength training though. They say that the best day to start it is ten years ago or today.

120 to get me off the mark today. 200 per week is my ideal run rate, so that's getting me off to a decent start.

I have also been thinking about NY resolutions. I would like 2021 to be the year that I can touch my toes after probably 25 years - Does anyone know if there is a touch your toes thread - I could not see one .......

Not strictly a "touch your toes" thread but Yoga Every Day wouldn't be a bad place to start.

Bamber: I struggled with bad flexibility for years. If you are otherwise fit and healthy with no underlying conditions that would affect flexibility it should be easy.

I started, just short of 4 years ago, doing a Movement For Modern Life hamstring exercise after every run and walk. I could touch my toes after 2 weeks.

The stuff is on their website and YouTube.

I could do "before" and "after" touching my toes videos. "Before" would be when I first get out of bed, "after" would be any time between mid-morning and bedtime.
