Hi ,

I am fundraising for the ENCEPHALITIS SOCIETY www.encephalitis.info

My husband had this nearly 15 years ago and SURVIVED !!

He was rushed to hospital and was in a coma on admittance , doctors told me IF he woke up he could be brain damaged or paralysed, l didn't care l wanted my husband back. This was a really tough time our baby son was 3 months old and our daughter a toddler of 17 months and l was too young to be a widow. With lots of LOVE, CARE & PAMPERING from me and CARE from the hospital he recovered slowly, the following year he was ill again with Bells Palsy , doctors think it could be linked to ENCEPHALITIS but we have managed to pull through what was a difficult time. This year l am fundraising for this WONDERFUL CHARITY who appreciate every penny, AWARENESS of this illness is vital, not everyone recovers and l am GRATEFUL to everybody who has SUPPORTED me along the way xX LIVE IT, LOVE IT, ENJOY IT xX

About Me

My two friends had Breast Cancer and l had the opportunity to take part in a race at Hyde Park and raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign, however l wanted to RUN 3 miles ( had never run that far in my life before ) and so joined a gym had previously been to a gym 20 years before and assumed l was still quite fit. I stepped onto a treadmill for the very first time and fell in LOVE and after a few weeks of walking l decided to try and run and l did for 2 minutes and was so excited each week l ran for a bit longer and went a bit further. I continued to jog at my own pace and entered various races to motivate me, l still cannot believe how far l have come ,how much l have achieved and not forgetting how much l am enjoying myself even on the days when training feels extremely hard . From 0- 3 miles to the London Marathon , it's hard but oh so worth it.
I'm LIVING IT, LOVING IT & ENJOYING IT .
