Started running regularly July 2006 in a fit of enthusiasm after losing three stone in weight over the previous six months, and deciding that the Flora London Marathon might be worth a crack after all (3:04:56, 2007). Since then have enjoyed a succession of injuries, the last of which resulted in hip surgery.
Came back fitter and stronger after a 12 month break from running and since got my marathon time down to 2:30:30 (Berlin 2015). Would love to reach the magic sub-2:30 at some point but happy to keep mixing up the running and cycling till then and staying injury free.
