artypete I trained really hard and was confident of getting under 3 hours 30 mins, despite having a nasty ankle injury in January. Then I got a nasty bug just 11 days before and didn't eat for a good 3 days, only really had around 3 days to get marathon fit from very nasty illness. Still, I managed to get around, and while it wasn't my best time, I decided it proved just how tough and fit I was to still be able to complete a marathon so close to being that ill. :-)
