I remembered the Musselburgh 10k having reasonably large parts of off road running but can’t remember enough to stay that would make a suitable parkrun as I don’t know the area well enough and what’s roads would be preventing it.

Too many other events in the park, at this time of year it's closed every other week (or seems that way at least!)

They would need to close the road jda and parking would be an issue I guess. Same with the Meadows.

I did a 3 mile race in Princes St Gardens once for Sport relief. 3 laps. Would be good !

If you count Strathclyde, juniors and new events that are rumoured as close you get to about a dozen in the Glasgow area.

Edinburgh does seem to have a dearth of park runs compared to other cities. Why is this?

Inverleith doesn’t really have a path round the outside that would be suitable and it’s more a + shaped path. They do have a juniors there.

Hailes quarry park might be an option other than where it is located. No guarantee your car will be there when you return. Or your fetch hoody.

There’s definitely scope for a parkrun route on part of the Musselburgh 10K route, and it has been talked about locally. But there are a few issues in terms of parking, etc. Not sure any of them are insurmountable.
