Thanks everyone for your kind wishes for my attendance at my Aunties funeral. She was 90 years young, very young at heart, with a passion for photography, especially flowers and wild life. She lived alone, without Carers for many years after her husband died, and was very active, leading a good social life. She had so many friends, that all the seats were taken for the Service. It was a lovely Service, and my sister and I met up with cousins that we hadn't seen for decades afterwards. Oh dear, how we had all aged, the years have just flown by. We were glad the Service wasn't today, as it's the first day of the IoW Festival and the ferries and roads will be chaotic.

Belated happy birthday MMM. Does that put you into a new age category for race placing?

A very wet and windy road run this morning. I ran 8.5 miles, but only 8 miles registered on my Garmin, as I didn't start it until I had run half a mile. I'm just about hanging on to my 5th place on the League Table, as I haven't put in as many miles so far this week.

Glad the service went well hs.

Nice mileage too.

Sigh you’re well on target for 1000 too and will squash your 700 target in a couple of months.

Thanks all. For race purposes I'm still in the same bracket. It'll help my WAVA scores a bit, of course. That'll do for a couple of years!

Just off out for what promises too be a wet 10 miles.

Thanks FF. It was good meeting relatives that we hadn't seen for many years.

Marky, hope your 10 miler went well, and that you didn't get too wet!

The rain held off this morning, and the sun is now out. I ran an easy pace 6.6 road miles, just increasing the pace for the last mile or so.

Still quite a youngster Marky, you've got at least fifteen years to catch up on at least three of us here..hillstrider, Evangel and me (seventy in a couple of weeks!). Run hard!
A tantalising forty miles off a red heart which realistically will take me about three months unless I suddenly take a huge leap in my long (for me) runs. But the aim is 1,000 for the year and that should set me up ok..
Did eight miles before the heavy rain came down.

Steve, you are steadily making your way up the leader board, so I'm sure you will make the 1,000 miles without too much trouble.

Conditions in the forest this morning were horrible. There were very heavy showers, and the wind was strong and cold. I had to work hard, and ran 8.6 miles. It was also muddy underfoot in places, after being rock hard for so long.

Still another damp, showery day but ok for running on the "tame" river trail I usually run along. Yeah, creeping slowly and steadily up the board hillstrider. A 5k jaunt this morning.
