Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I mentioned my nutribullet in blog and got a few comments / messages so thought would start a thread to discuss. The machine, pros and cons, recipe ideas, tips, do's & don'ts etc.

Anyone else got one? Anyone thinking of getting one?

Discuss.

I have just got a cheap Breville one that cost about £25 but it has revolutionised my breakfast eating. I make a smoothie everynight using Soya or Almond milk plus a banana and whatever ripe fruit we have in. I stick it in the fridge overnight and then eat it first thing, it is great to get something in me before running without having to mess about making stuff. I have also become very adept at buying up cheap very ripe fruit from supermarkets and using them immediately in smoothies.

I use mine daily for a breakfast - 3 spoonfuls of porridge oats, a banana and some fruit (frozen strawberries or frozen mixed fruit). Bags of frozen fruit handy so can add just a handful at a time. Top up with water or milk.

I often use mine for a breakfast smoothie, usually banana, frozen berries and almond milk. Veg smithies are good with a bit of ginger or chilli added. My current favourite post long run smoothie is banana, milk and peanut butter

I love my bullet
I do green smoothies mostly, with water, spianch, berries and half a nana or pear
will add in flax or hemp for omega doo dahs
The bullets make great hummus
I freeze the fruit so its all nice and cold

Bought one about two months ago and use it daily. For the first time in my adult life, breakfast now consists of more than a black coffee.

Kale, carrot, mango and strawberries with a scattering of mixed nuts. It helps that my fridge has turned into a blast chiller and is deep freezing everything within it (including said strawberries and carrot).

Trying not to use milk/yoghurt in mine, but a scoop of ice-cream is a weekend treat (I heartily recommend peanut butter ice-cream, peanut butter on its own is also excellent).

I've got the same one as Joopsy (couldn't afford the nutribullet) and it's brilliant. I too have a smoothie for breakfast now (I put a bit of oatmeal in it and some yoghurt, plus almond or soya milk, a banana and some soft fruit. Frozen berries are also good and will come into their own later on, when the raspberry and strawberry season is over).
