Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi

When trying to download this onto my home laptop (Windows 10 - for my sons online kick boxing classes!), it tells me the installer has a virus and the file has been deleted.

I'm reasonably IT literate, but can't sort out what's going on, can anybody help me please?

Thanks

Lammo

Where from are you downloading it, and what antivirus do you have?

Are you downloading from the correct link? I believe it would be https:// zoom.us/support/download (broken the link in two so that fetch displays it literally) but I might be wrong!

Lammo -
- is it your personal laptop, or a work laptop with under their IT controls?
- does it tell you what it has found?

- if you're sure you've got the right link (zoom source, not some 'free download' site), you may need to disable your firewall/security while it installs?

I wonder if your anti-virus software is getting confused between Zoon the software and an actual virus that was called Zoom. You think the AV software would go on something other than the name though !

Zoom doesn't like my elderly laptop much. It works (sort of) but althought the camera is on and we can see ourselves on screen other people can't see us! I was hoping to be able to get more than 4 panels up in gallery view for the six households involved in our church home group, without having to keeps switching screens on my tablet.

It does work really well on my tablet though. Last night we had family game of Trivial Pursuit with my phone as an attendee on a tripod aiming down at the board, and the tablet set up for both of us and the 3 junior families. 😁

Got something to say?
