Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I tend to loose weight on my holidays too... but they do tend to involve a lot of physical activity and no sitting behind the computer all day :-)

Mine are delicately balanced between more general activity (running is supplemented by swimming, walking and shouting at my daughter) and more food and drink due to eating out twice every day.

quick question ....
can anyone explain the causes behind and the cure for the afternoon slump (mainly post run afternoon slump)

I get a big drained feeling (could easily have closed my eyes in this afternoons meeting!) and then hit the food which i know is so wrong on all levels!

Ta!

It is because our natural bio-rhythms require us to rest in the afternoon and less during the night... Ideally you sleep about 6 hours at night and have an hour or so at about 4pm during the day. I used to do that when I worked from home and could, and used to be mighty efficient and never really tired...

In my case, it's usually because I've stayed up too late the night before ;)

v-rap we don't want to know about your smutty habits!

hann that is so tempting! Don't think today was helped by a hot hot run that was hard work due to lack of energy and air!

Smutty? The only thing smutty is the state of the sheets when I've been eating chocolate in bed :P
